OKAY!! I am getting tired of looking at the Christmas photos at the top of my blog, but I have not been inspired to write anything lately! Or maybe there has been too much going on, or not enough, I can't be sure. I have been doing a lot of reading. I finally got the last of the Christmas decos put away on January 26th. Three of the boys have had a flu-like bug that thankfully they are now over. We are finishing basketball season and have already started baseball practices. I backed up all my photos on disks that were stored on computer. This, that and the other....but it is time to break the silence!
When New Year's Day comes, I have never been one to officially make big resolutions. My theory being if you don't make them, you can't break them. It is all really very overwhelming to me. I do think about goals and in an unofficial sort of way I ponder and plan the things I would like to see in my life over the next year. You know the stuff....I would like to grow closer to God, I would like to be the a better wife, mother, sister, daughter, neighbor, community member, and friend this year than ever before, I would like to make out and stick to a budget, I would like to be on time, I would like to have birthday gifts ready at some point other than 5 minutes before the parties, I would like to make appointments for the dentist, dermatologist, and a haircut before next year, I would like to get a shower every day, I would like to have an organized home with clean and put away laundry, all beds made, no dishes in the sink, no dust bunnies, no clutter, and no mounds of various treasure that needs to be donated someplace, for everything to have it's place and dinner to be on the table every night, I would like to not forget something every single time I do the grocery shopping, I would like a tidy garage and car, I would like to have date nights on a regular basis, I would like to have lunch with friends, I'd like to see more of our extended families, I would like to volunteer more time at the boys' classes, I would like to take more families who need it a nice healthy and delicious hot dinner, I would like to watch more friends' kids while they do something they need to do, I would like to lose weight and get physically fit, I would love for my kids to generally behave perfectly and to not lose my cool when they don't, I'd like to have a consistent family devotional time, I would like to have my taxes prepared by the end of February, and the list goes on. WHEW!
So here is what I've been reading lately....I will keep you posted on how much progress I make.

I hope your 2008 is off to a great start and you have not forgotten your "resolutions" already. It is never too late to take action. One step at a time!
